A dynamic community campaign mobilised public support behind protection of a remarkable natural and cultural landscape in the heart of Sydney harbour.
When a waves come in, there is an enormous amount of energy, but it loses that energy as it sweeps up the beach, dropping heavier particles first and then dropping the finer particles of sand.
Photography serves many needs. It can inspire us to travel or to care for place. It can elicit emotion. A photograph can tell one story or a thousand stories. Photography has magical power when used with purpose.
Crayweeds are a type of seaweed in Sydney harbour and surrounds that are like ecological foundations in our marine environment. If you take that away, everything else goes. If you bring that back, then everything else comes back with it. That is the goal of operation Crayweed.
